Back in 1969, Weichert, Realtors® consisted of a single New Jersey office
headed by Jim Weichert himself. Today, we have more than 500 company-owned and franchised offices in 32 states.
Weichert, Realtors®-Elite is the only Weichert office in San Diego with a branch office in Chula Vista. The broker
of record is Donna Sanfilippo. Her son, Erik Weichelt, is also a broker of our company and the current President of
the San Diego Association of Realtors (SDAR). Another broker, Mark Marquez, will be the President of SDAR in 2010.
We opened our office during the worst recession this country has ever seen in 100 years. And our business has
continued to grow when many other real estate companies have been merging, closing down or shrinking their office
and staff to cut overhead costs. This is because we adapt to the market shifts, keep up with the economic trends, and

Elena Yu graduated summa cum
laude with a B.A. in Economics. She has a Ph.D. degree in Sociology and also earned a second master’s degree,
MPH in Epidemiology. She has been a university professor for 30+ years and is still teaching. Growing up in a
multi-cultural environment made her speak several languages (Putunghua or Mandarin, Taiwanese, Cantonese, Filipino,
some Spanish). She is a REALTOR® and Broker Associate at Weichert, Realtors®-Elite in San Diego.

Elena Yu's Real Estate Focus
Besides being a Graduate of Realtor’s Institute and an Accredited Buyer Representative, Elena Yu has received
additional training in specific aspects of real estate transactions such as negotiations skills, risk management,
real estate needs of seniors, and the buying and selling of distressed properties—bank-owned homes as well as short
sales. The following designations are evidence of completion of special trainings: GRI, CNE, RMS, e-PRO, SRES,
CDPE, ABR. She focuses her work on helping people across a broad age spectrum to build and grow their wealth
with real estate.
